Elizabeth Havers – Brand Ambassador – Glenfiddich and The Balvenie

Elizabeth (Beth) is resident Brand Ambassador for Glenfiddich and The Balvenie. Beth’s mission is to champion trade education and advocacy for all William Grant & Sons Whisky products and to position William Grant & Sons as a world leader in whisky.  Beth first fell in love with Whisky while living in Edinburgh, Scotland. Since then she has spent the past 12 years working in the Beverage Alcohol Industry, increasing her knowledge and passion in all things Whisky. Beth has spent time working in Dufftown, in the Scottish Highlands at both the Glenfiddich and Balvenie distilleries and tries to return to Scotland as often as she can. Prior to joining the William Grant & Sons team, Beth most recently held sales, marketing and brand specialist positions at Diageo. She is a graduate of The University of Guelph and has completed her Wine and Spirits Education through The International Sommelier Guild.

The Balvenie – A Handcrafted Journey

Since The Balvenie was founded in 1892, it has kept to the traditional roots of whisky making and to this day remains to be The World’s Most Handcrafted Single Malt. Canadian Brand Ambassador Beth Havers will explain just what makes these malts so unique. Complete with some very sough after Balvenie expressions, this tasting is one not to miss!

Matt Jones – Whisk(e)y Ambassador a.k.a @Whisky_Chef

Having worked within the beverage alcohol industry for 17 years, Matt is both bartending nerd and whisk(e)y geek. In 2010 he accepted his favourite role to date: Beam Bourbon Specialist. Also known as @Whisky_Chef, Matt continues to share his love of Bourbon, whisk(e)y forward cocktails and culinary whisk(e)y delights with consumers and the trade across Canada.

Scott Stieh – J.P. Wiser’s Associate Master Blender

Hailing from Windsor, Ontario, Scott Stieh was armed with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Windsor and a strong passion for spirits when he first knocked on the doors at Hiram Walker & Sons in 2001. After 11 years in dynamic roles from Global Chemist to Product Development Manager at the Distillery, Scott assumed the title of Associate Master Blender and now works alongside Master Blender Dr. Don Livermore to create an award-winning portfolio of Canadian whiskies.
